A Note About Shipping & Assembly:
To ensure your ornament arrives safely, the included shell casings are packaged separately inside your box. This prevents them from rattling inside the glass and causing damage during shipping.
When your ornament arrives, simply remove the cork and gently insert the casings into the glass ornament. Please handle with great care—these ornaments are made of very fragile glass.

The Story Behind the Ornament

My passion for hunting and fishing—and for all things rustic and natural—inspired this ornament’s creation. When my children grew up and no longer cared if their first-grade crafts took center stage on the Christmas tree, I finally decorated the tree the way I had always imagined: corrugated deer heads, wooden snowflakes, crocheted stars, burlap balls—every rustic touch I loved.

But something was still missing.

A few years earlier, I had hung a pair of small resin antlers from the rearview mirror in my SUV. When the jute rope finally gave out, they tumbled down and ended up sitting on a shelf behind my tree. One day, while standing there admiring my freshly decorated tree, I noticed those little antlers resting behind it. I picked them up, carried them to my craft table—where dozens of hand-painted ornaments were drying for a shop in South Padre Island—and tried seating a piece of glass inside the antlers. It fit perfectly, almost like it was meant to be.

That moment sparked the idea.

I stepped outside and gathered branches covered in tiny berry-like buds. Then I went down to my basement to dig through my treasure box filled with finds from hikes through the mountains and the back side of the rez. I pulled out a few shell casings I had collected and returned to my craft table to begin designing.

When the first ornament was finished, I hung it on my tree, snapped a picture, and posted it on Facebook. A friend immediately asked for a price. I listed it on Etsy—and within hours, the first ornament sold. Then another. And another.

To this day, my own tree still doesn’t have one of these ornaments… they sell faster than I can make them.
