Our Whipped Beef Tallow & Honey Body Butter is handcrafted in small batches using rendered beef tallow from fresh, local beef, extra virgin olive oil, natural honey, and a subtle hint of ginger.

We carefully whip the tallow until it becomes light, creamy, and smooth, then blend it with extra virgin olive oil and honey. A touch of ginger adds a warm, gentle note that complements the natural richness of the other ingredients.

The result is a luxurious, rich body butter that melts into the skin and leaves it feeling soft, smooth, and moisturized.

Why Beef Tallow?

Beef tallow has been used for generations as a simple, rich moisturizer for the skin. Its naturally occurring fatty acids make it a wonderful ingredient for a nourishing body butter, particularly when skin is feeling dry or rough.

We love tallow because it brings us back to something simple: using a natural ingredient that has been valued for generations rather than relying on a long list of complicated ingredients.

Each batch is handcrafted by Alice Schwarz at Schwarz Family Farm in Penrose, Colorado. We use fresh, local beef to create our tallow, then carefully combine it with extra virgin olive oil, honey, and ginger before whipping and filling each tin by hand.

We believe there is something special about knowing where the ingredients come from, knowing who made the product, and being able to offer our customers something created right here on our family farm.

A Note About Handmade Skincare

Because our body butter is handcrafted in small batches using natural ingredients, slight variations in color, texture, and consistency may occur from one batch to another. These natural variations are part of the character of a handmade product and do not affect the quality of the body butter.

Store in a cool, dry place and keep the tin protected from excessive heat. Because tallow softens and melts with warmth, the consistency may change depending on the temperature. If it becomes soft or melted, simply allow it to cool and return to a firmer consistency.

A Little Tallow Truth

Because this body butter is made with real beef tallow, there may be a slight scent of beef when the butter is warm or when you first apply it.

Don't worry—you haven't accidentally rubbed a pot roast on yourself. 😂

For most people, that natural tallow scent disappears once the body butter sinks into the skin. However, everyone's body chemistry is different, so you may notice the scent for a little longer than someone else.

We don't try to cover the natural character of the tallow with a heavy fragrance. What you smell when you first apply it is simply part of using a real, handcrafted tallow body butter.

One More Little Thing...

If you have dogs, you may discover that they are very interested in your skincare routine. 😂

The natural smell of tallow may make you temporarily irresistible to your four-legged friends, and you might receive a few enthusiastic kisses immediately after applying your body butter. 

But don't worry—once the butter sinks into your skin and that initial scent fades, your furry admirers will generally lose interest and go back to their regularly scheduled dog activities. 🐾

Consider it an unexpected quality-control team.

How to Use

I personally love applying this body butter right after a shower, while my skin is still moist and soft.

Scoop a small amount from the tin and warm it between your fingertips or palms. Massage gently into your skin, allowing the warmth of your skin to melt the butter as you apply it.

A little goes a long way, so start with a small amount and add more as needed.

For best results, apply after bathing or whenever your skin needs an extra dose of moisture.

For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
